US pork exports in March 2023 reached their highest level since May 2021, with a total of 260,195 tons and a value of 724 million USD, marking a 17% increase in volume and an 18% increase in value compared to the same period last year. The first quarter of 2023 saw a 14% increase in volume and a 15% increase in value in exports, totaling 716,691 tons and 1.96 billion USD. There was a notable increase in exports to Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and the Philippines, with Mexico seeing a 15% increase in volume and a 31% increase in value in March 2023. The Dominican Republic and the Philippines both experienced significant growth in imports of US pork, with the Dominican Republic's imports increasing by 87% in volume and 88% in value, and the Philippines' imports increasing by 65% in volume and 42% in value.
