U.S. pork exports in October increased by 3% year-over-year to 252,411 metric tons, with a value of $710.4 million, a 3% increase from the previous year. Despite a slight decrease in shipments to Mexico, growth in Japan, Central America, the Caribbean, Oceania, and the ASEAN region offset this. Through the first 10 months of 2024, pork exports increased by 5% year-over-year to 2.49 million metric tons, valued at $7.07 billion. Pork exports are expected to surpass 3 million metric tons for the first time this year, setting a new record. There has also been record growth in pork exports to Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
