Corn and wheat export sales increased week-on-week, while bean sales declined, according to US Department of Agriculture (USDA) data. Corn sales for the seven days ended June 22 rose to 140,400 metric tons from 36,000 mt the previous week, the agency said in a report. The total was still down 16% from the previous four-week average. Japan was the main buyer with 103.7 thousand tons, followed by Mexico with 92.7 thousand tons and Taiwan with 18.5 thousand tons. Jamaica bought 18,100 tonnes and El Salvador bought 8,300 tonnes, the USDA said. An unnamed country canceled shipments of 87,500 tonnes, Colombia canceled shipments of 14,500 tonnes and Honduras canceled shipments of 6,300 tonnes. Exports for the week fell 9% to 605,300 tonnes. Wheat sales rose to 155,200 tonnes swt from 109,700 tonnes swt the previous week, the government said.
