In November, pork exports from the United States reached 258,601 metric tons, a 5% increase from the previous year, and the highest in six months, with a value of US$737.4 million, a 2% increase from the previous year, the highest since May 2021. The US share of the pork market imported by Mexico increased to 84% in 2023, with a record value of US$221.3 million and a 14% increase in export volume. Additionally, pork exports to countries in Central America, South America, and South Korea saw significant increases in both volume and value, while exports to China/Hong Kong trended substantially lower.
