US pork exports in January saw a 6% increase from the previous year, totaling 251,424 metric tons and valued at US$682.1 million. The Mexican market led the exports with a 6% increase, reaching 102,181 tons. Other markets such as South Korea, Central America, South America, Australia, and Malaysia also saw significant increases in US pork imports. However, there was a slight decline in exports to Japan due to competition from Canadian, Mexican, and Spanish pork.
