Soybean exports from Argentina in 2025/26 MG (October – September) are forecast at 8.3 million tons, which is the highest level in the last 6 years, partly due to several adjustments in export tariffs last year. The most striking was the temporary elimination of export tariffs on a number of agricultural products in September, which resulted in the cancellation of 26 percent tariffs on soybeans and 24.5 percent tariffs on soybean meal and soybean oil until the end of October or until export sales declarations of all affected products reached a maximum amount of $7 billion. This limit was reached in just 3 days, and as a result, in 2024/25, Argentina registered more than 3.0 million additional tons of soybean export sales by local time (April 2025 – March 2026). Most of these sales were registered with delivery in the period from October to December 2025, reports oilworld.ru citing USDA.
