Uzbekistan has extended the duty-free import of bananas, citrus and other fruits for another year

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, by his decree, extended the application of the zero rate of import customs duty on a number of food products until January 1, 2025. The decision is aimed at ensuring price stability in the domestic market and curbing inflation, a government source told Gazeta.uz. The document extended until January 1, 2025 the application of the zero rate of import customs duty on goods specified in Appendix No. 1 to the presidential decree of May 31, 2022 (UP-145) and the decree of March 23, 2023 (UP-41). These are food by-products of cattle, fish, milk, cream, butter, eggs, bananas, citrus fruits, fruits, onions and some vegetables, coffee, tea, vegetable oils, flour, cereals, flour and pasta, water, hair products , children's clothing and others (see full list via links).
