Kenya's dairy imports from Uganda have nearly tripled in the year to June 2023, with Uganda exporting dairy products worth USh810.56 billion (Sh29.2 billion) to Kenya, accounting for 83% of Uganda's total dairy sales. This 187.6% increase from the previous year is due to increased production in Uganda and growing demand from Kenyan processors. Despite Kenya's restrictions on importing certain dairy products from Uganda, the rise in local production and imports has helped stabilize milk prices in Kenya.
