The Association of Producers and Suppliers of Ready-Made Food (APPGE) has appealed to the Chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, with a request to refine the draft law of the party "Fair Russia," which provides for a ban on the preparation of ready-made food in retail outlets and equates it to cooking. This was reported by "Vedomosti" with reference to a letter from the association. As noted by the President of APPGE, Sergey Belyakov, equating ready-made food to cooking will lead to the application of the same regulatory requirements to products that are produced and packaged in factory kitchens, and to products prepared in food service establishments.
