The vegetable harvest in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, in 2021 saw an increase compared to the previous year and the six-year average, with above-average rainfall contributing to a good growth of cabbage vegetables. The total harvested amounted to 323,800 tons across 11,900 hectares, with cabbage leading the crop. Despite the challenges, asparagus remained the top outdoor crop, and there was a notable increase in sweet corn cultivation. Only 3% of the vegetable cultivation was done in protected areas. The main crops included tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, salads, and squashes.
