The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently held discussions with various experts and organizations to assess the vegetable production situation in November. Overall, most main vegetable producing areas experienced high temperatures and good growing conditions, leading to increased yields and declining field prices. The increase in vegetable production area and favorable weather conditions have led to a surplus of vegetables, causing prices to drop significantly, with some varieties reaching their lowest prices in years.
Despite the surplus, it is expected that the supply of vegetables in December will be sufficient, and prices may rebound due to increased cold air activities and holiday consumption. To address the current situation, the Ministry plans to implement disaster prevention measures, strengthen production and marketing connections, and provide technical guidance to ensure a stable supply of vegetables during the winter.
