Vinh Huan Joint Stock Company, Vietnam's leading pangasius and tra fish exporter, has been exempted from anti-dumping duties by the United States, making it the only company to meet the conditions set by the US. This follows a resolution of a World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute between Vietnam and the US. The bilateral solution is seen as a demonstration of the US's efforts to strengthen its relations with Vietnam and marks the second time the two countries have resolved a WTO dispute through such means. The Vietnamese government has expressed appreciation for the US's constructive attitude and cooperative spirit in seeking a bilateral solution, and has shown its readiness to use appropriate platforms, including the WTO dispute settlement mechanism, to protect the rights and interests of Vietnamese enterprises.
