Vietnam boosts agro-forestry exports to Europe

Vietnam’s agri-forestry and fisheries exports to the EU are growing steadily, driven by the size of the EU market of over 450 million consumers and strict food quality and safety standards. Vietnamese exporters are adapting to changing regulations to maintain market access. Demand for eco-friendly and organic products offers opportunities for Vietnamese exports. Vietnam’s natural resources allow it to produce products such as dragon fruit, mango and lychee, which are less accessible in the EU. EU standards focus on food safety controls, quarantine procedures, food additives, technical barriers and pesticide residue limits.
