Vietnam exports 5.6 billion USD of fruits and vegetables

This is the preliminary result just announced by the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association. Accordingly, this year's fruit and vegetable export turnover increased by 65.6% over the same period last year - leading the agricultural product group, surpassing key industries such as rice, cashew nuts, coffee, and cassava. Compared to the plan set out at the beginning of the year of 4 billion USD, the above turnover has increased by 40%. Currently, China is the market importing the most Vietnamese fruits and vegetables with a total turnover of 11 months reaching 3.4 billion USD, an increase of 148% over the same period in 2022 and accounting for 65.5% of the market share. The remaining countries such as Australia, United Arab Emirates, Korea, Japan, and the Netherlands all increased purchases by 2-31% over the same period last year.
