The State Food and Consumer Service of Ukraine is actively working to expand the market for Ukrainian pork in Asia, including Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Singapore. This was stated by the head of the service, Vladislava Magaletskaya, during the XIII International Congress 'Profitable Pig Breeding'. The service is also improving procedures for compartmentalization in Ukraine and opening new markets for livestock products. The country's pig industry is expected to succeed with a low level of morbidity of farm animals, and the maintenance of the stable epizootic situation in Ukraine is credited to a range of veterinary and sanitary measures. Ukraine is currently free of animal brucellosis and has seen significant improvement in the situation with African swine fever.
