Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is partnering with UNIDO, the Swiss Embassy, and Dong Thap Province to boost mango exports. Despite being the 13th largest mango producer globally with over 87,000 hectares dedicated to mango cultivation, exports in 2020 saw a 9% decrease due to the pandemic, reaching $180.8 million. China was the primary market, accounting for 83.95% of exports, followed by Russia and Papua New Guinea. This partnership aims to improve the industry's performance by addressing challenges and improving the quality and standardization of mangoes.
