Vietnamese pangasius exports have seen a 9% increase in the first eight months of the year, reaching nearly $1.3 billion. There has been a distinct growth in the export of value-added pangasius products, with a 75% increase in August 2024 and a 38% increase in the first eight months of the year. The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) bloc, led by Australia, and the United States have shown a strong interest in these value-added products. Thailand, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, China, and Hong Kong are the leading importers of these products, indicating a successful diversification strategy by Vietnamese seafood enterprises.
