Vietnamese instant noodle products have been removed from the EU's border inspection list, effective July 2, following compliance with EU regulations, particularly regarding ethylene oxide residues. However, certain agricultural products like okra, chili, durian, and dragon fruit still face mandatory inspections and certification at the border. Recently, Vietnamese durian exports have surged, but have been temporarily added to the EU's border inspection list due to pesticide contamination concerns, despite contributing significantly to the export earnings. The article highlights the efforts to meet EU regulations by Vietnamese trade offices and industry representatives, aiming to enhance access to the EU market while ensuring food safety standards.
