Vietnam is negotiating plant quarantine measures with the US to export fresh passion fruit, expected to be completed in 2025, and has also successfully negotiated to export passion fruit to Australia in 2024. The country has nearly 9,500 hectares of passion fruit cultivation, with an annual output of nearly 190,000 tons. In 2023, the export turnover of passion fruit is projected to reach over 222 million USD. Vietnam has officially exported 19 types of fresh fruits and agricultural products to major markets such as China, the US, Korea, Japan, the EU, and Australia. The country's fruit and vegetable exports have made a breakthrough, with a turnover of 6.6 billion USD after 11 months, up 28.2% compared to the previous year, and is confident of reaching a record of 7.2 billion USD by 2024.
