Core tip: In 2025, despite frequent fluctuations in the international fishery market and tight raw material supply, Vietnam's squid and octopus exports still delivered impressive results. According to the latest data from the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), as of the end of October, Vietnam's squid and octopus exports reached $627 million, a year-on-year increase of 19%. Among these, October's monthly export value reached a new high for the year, amounting to $83 million, a month-on-month increase of 25%, and a year-on-year increase of 25% as well. This growth is mainly due to the continuous expansion of demand in the East Asian and ASEAN markets, especially for ready-to-eat and semi-finished products.
