Vietnam's canned tuna exports to the US and Portugal increase significantly

According to SeafoodNews, the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) said that Vietnam's tuna exports to the United States rebounded strongly, with canned tuna sales increasing by 17% year-on-year to US$95 million. The United States remains the largest exporter of canned tuna from Vietnam, accounting for 36% of Vietnam's total canned tuna exports. Although Thailand remains the largest supplier of canned tuna to the United States, Vietnam has increased its exports and surpassed Mexico to become the second largest supplier to the United States, accounting for 12% of the US market share. Vietnamese exporters have also adjusted their pricing strategies, with the average price currently standing at US$4,670 per ton.
