Vietnam's durian exports from January to November reached nearly 2.2 billion U.S. dollars, with fresh durian exports reaching 2 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of nearly 8 times year-on-year, mainly to China and the Czech Republic. Vietnamese durian has a price advantage in the export market due to lower prices and favorable climate and soil conditions, making it more competitive in the Chinese market. The durian planting area in Vietnam has increased to 131,000 hectares, with an expected output of over 1 million tons in 2023, representing a 15.9% increase from 2022.
