Vietnam's fruit and vegetable export industry is experiencing robust growth, marked by significant milestones such as the first export of Vietnamese passion fruit to Australia and fresh coconuts to China. The export value reached nearly US$5.7 billion in the first nine months of the year, with China as the largest market. This growth is fueled by high demand for products like durian, bananas, and dragon fruits, alongside enhanced processing capabilities, including a new frozen fruit processing plant in Lam Dong Province. Dong Jiao Export Food Joint Stock Company (Doveco Son La) is strategically enhancing its supply chain and production capabilities, establishing a factory in Dong Province and developing a processing plant in Son La Province. The company aims to export 40,000 tons of products in 2024 to markets such as the EU, South Korea, Japan, and Israel, while facing increasing competition in the Chinese market, emphasizing the need for quality, flavor, and safety to ensure sustainable growth.
