Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development predicts a 15-20% increase in fruit and vegetable exports by 2024, reaching a record $6.5-7 billion. The main markets are China, the US, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, the Netherlands, Australia, and New Zealand, with China accounting for 65% of exports. Durian has surpassed dragon fruit as the highest value export, and the country has successfully exported various fruits and vegetables to the EU. To support this growth, the Bureau is working with agricultural departments to expand export planting areas and packaging units, increase supervision, and encourage enterprises to improve management and production processes.
