HungaroMet Zrt. has released a report highlighting the impact of weather conditions on agricultural areas in Hungary. The country has experienced alternating periods of rain and dry spell in recent days, with the second half of the week witnessing dry weather due to an anticyclone. The past 30 days have seen below-average precipitation, particularly in the southern and central parts of the Great Plain, leading to soil dryness, especially at deeper layers. Despite the heat, vegetation is developing faster than usual. However, the lack of rain during the flowering and grain formation period could result in poor yields for non-irrigated stands. The coming week is expected to bring mostly dry weather with some scattered showers, further exacerbating the soil dryness and drought conditions.
