This was stated by the Vice Minister of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), Teresa Mera Gómez, during the launch of the XVI Peruvian Cocoa and Chocolate Salon 2025, which will be held from July 17 to 20 at the Lima Convention Center. She highlighted that the work done by farmers in the field, as well as the work done to transform cocoa, is very important for exports because it facilitates the promotion of this product in the main markets of the world. She indicated that in 2024, Peruvian cocoa and derivative exports exceeded US$ 1.200 million, reflecting a 200% increase compared to the previous year.
