The carioca and black bean markets experienced varying price trends in September. The carioca bean market saw optimistic prices at the start of the month, driven by supply from several states, but demand declined, resulting in a drop in extra bean prices. Weak retail consumption and cautious buyers contributed to the price fluctuation. On the other hand, the black bean market remained strong due to limited supply and off-season, with prices approaching R$420.00 per bag. However, the prospect of further increases met resistance, and demand weakened. The market showed low liquidity with fewer negotiations, and exports between January and August totaled 72.65 thousand tons. Planting for the 2024/25 crop advanced in Paraná, but weak demand and consumer behavior slowed down negotiations.
