Spanish markets have seen a rise in cereal prices over the past week, with soft wheat, corn, barley, durum wheat, and malt barley all experiencing increases, according to the wholesale merchants' association Accoe. The secretary general of Accoe, José Manuel Álvarez, suggests that this increase is due to global tensions, particularly in the Black Sea region, and may be temporary as a record harvest is anticipated globally. When compared to January 2024, all cereal prices have seen a decrease.
