Multiple outbreaks of African swine fever have been reported in various countries, including North Macedonia, Romania, Russia, Poland, Serbia, Sweden, Latvia, and Italy, leading to the infection and death of both wild boars and domestic pigs. Additionally, outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza, specifically the H5N1 subtype, have occurred in Finland, Brazil, the United States, Argentina, the United Kingdom, Uruguay, and Peru, resulting in the death of several wild birds and marine mammals. Finally, there have been reports of other animal diseases such as bluetongue in the Netherlands, anthrax in Azerbaijan, Newcastle disease in Russia, tularemia in Norway, and rabies in Hungary and Melilla.
