The International Nut and Seed Council (INC) has released its 2024/2025 cashew crop and production forecast, highlighting the role of Côte d’Ivoire and Vietnam in the global cashew industry. Côte d’Ivoire, the leading producer of raw cashew nuts, saw a 10% increase in output in 2022 due to advanced farming techniques and improved production efficiency. Vietnam, the largest processor and exporter of cashew nuts, needs to improve its domestic raw material output through advanced farming methods and high-yield cashew varieties to increase self-sufficiency and maintain its global position. The industry is facing global demand and supply chain challenges, requiring innovation, optimization of production processes, and sustainable development.
