Ukraine has experienced a significant increase in food prices, with meat prices rising on average by 10%. Beef goulash has seen the highest price increase of 20.9%. The price fluctuations vary among different types of meat. The decrease in cattle numbers has contributed to the rise in beef and veal prices, while an increase in pork production has led to a decrease in its retail prices. Additionally, the price of meat is also affected by high costs of fodder, fuel, and energy resources, with expectations of further increases in the price of beef, pork, and chicken by 5% by the end of autumn. While meat and food prices are on the rise, some vegetables and fruits remain slightly cheaper.
