Wheat prices have risen following Taiwan's promise to purchase grain from the United States.

Wheat futures recovered part of the previous session's decline after a letter of intent was signed, according to which a Taiwanese group committed to buying 3.6 million tons of grain from the U.S. over the next three years. This is reported by Bloomberg. Taiwan is one of the largest markets for U.S. wheat, and the agreement signed by the Taiwan Flour Mills Association (FMA) is estimated to be worth up to $1.3 billion in the period 2026–2029. This is another deal for purchasing U.S. agricultural products under the Trump administration.
