Wheat stocks in Jordan will last for 15 months

As of 2022, Jordan's wheat stocks are enough to last for 15 months, according to the Grain On-Line agency and the state news agency Petra. The country also has enough barley and wheat bran to last for 11 months. The Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade is collaborating with the private sector to ensure a constant supply of strategic food supplies. Since 2008, the ministry has implemented a hedging policy to maintain a strategic stockpile of wheat, barley, and other food commodities, with multiple import sources and a secure supply chain.
