Eleven farmers in different parts of Bulgaria are establishing their own permanent plantations with new varieties of apples and cherries. Among them is farmer Svetoslav Mladenov from the high-mountain village of Kashle, Trun Municipality, who talks about the benefits of cooperation with the Agricultural Institute - Kyustendil. The project BG06RDNP001-16.003-0008 "Testing Selected Hybrids and Implementing Innovative Fruit Varieties Created by the Agricultural Institute - Kyustendil" is being implemented with the support of sub-measure 16.1 from the Rural Development Program. The goal is to test newly created varieties and hybrids in different agro-ecological conditions outside their area of origin - Kyustendil, in response to the changing climate.
