Germany's tea imports have declined in both volume and value in the first five months of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, according to Eurostat. China, India, Sri Lanka, Argentina, and Belgium are the main suppliers of tea to Germany, with imports from these countries making up 63.7% of Germany's total tea imports. Germany is the seventh largest tea import market in the world and also plays a significant role as a gateway for tea re-exports to the EU market.
