The article highlights the economic challenges faced by fishermen in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, Vietnam, due to the North wind season and unpredictable weather conditions. For over a month, many fishermen have had to keep their boats ashore, leading to a significant decrease in income. The low season and a drop in seafood prices have further increased financial losses. In response, the provincial agricultural sector has developed storm prevention plans and advised farmers on disease prevention measures for aquaculture to ensure a successful Tet harvest. The article also suggests measures for farmers to maintain water quality and protect shrimp from disease, including the use of lime, biological products, and probiotics.
