The domestic selling price of wine in Hungary has increased by 7 percent in the first nine months of the year, with higher quality wines seeing up to a 15 percent increase. The average selling price of Tokaj white wines remained roughly the same, while red and rosé wines from Eger saw a 5 percent increase. The export price of Hungarian wines also rose by 5 percent. Hungary's wine external trade balance was positive in both volume and value between January and July, with a 26 percent increase in bottled wine shipments.
