Consumer complexes in Egypt are offering competitive prices on food commodities, including meat and fish, with discounts of up to 30% compared to the free market. The Egyptian Fish Marketing, part of the Food Holding Company, is supplying large quantities of fresh and frozen fish to these outlets, which number around 1,300 at the governorate level. These outlets are also distributing goods to ration card holders as part of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade's system, which allows citizens to purchase items up to a certain value based on their ration card. The system includes 28 essential commodities like sugar, rice, pasta, and cheese.
