The Brazilian beef market closed October with signs of appreciation in the arroba, driven by a promising scenario in exports. According to Fernando Iglesias, an analyst at Safras & Mercado, the lower positioning of slaughter scales and the heated demand contributed to the rise, especially in the Center-North. In São Paulo, the arroba reacted only in the last week of the month, after a period of stability. For November, with shipments still heated and the expectation of an improvement in domestic demand, there is a prospect of the rise continuing. However, Iglesias warns of the investigation conducted by China, which may result in safeguards on beef exports.
