Argentina's national government has certified two dairy farms in Villa María, Cordoba, under the IRAM 14400 standard, making them the first in the country to receive this quality seal for good practices in bovine milk production. The standard aims to improve farm productivity and ensure milk safety, quality, animal welfare, and environmental care. The certification was developed by the Argentine Institute for Standardization and Certification (IRAM) in collaboration with the dairy sector and will be implemented across more farms as part of the National Dairy Directorate's strategy to increase sector production. The 'San Carlos' and 'Don Emilio SRL' farms, both in Villa María, have begun the consultation process to meet the standard's requirements.
