The Argentine Transporters Federation (Fetra) announced a new update to the national reference rate for the motor transport of grains, derivatives, and related products, although these are no longer validated by any official body as of the national government's decision last September. According to the entity, the measure responds to its commitment to maintaining a tariff scheme that is "transparent, formal, and sustainable." The adjustment of the indicative values was prepared, according to Fetra, based on objective and verifiable technical parameters, updated until September 2025, and has the methodological endorsement of the National University of Rosario (UNR). With the new spreadsheet published by Fetra, for hauls of 400 kilometers, the new reference rate becomes 59,187 pesos per ton (40.4 US$/ton with the current BNA seller exchange rate).
