(Wonju=Yonhap News) Reporter Im Bo-yeon = Wonju City announced on the 29th that it has selected Mr. Lee Byung-dong as the first agricultural specialty product master, delivering a master certificate and badge. Master Lee Byung-dong is a representative farmer in the region who has dedicated 18 years to peach cultivation, receiving high evaluations for cultivation management considering the climate of the Chiaksan mountain area, a uniform quality production system, and the application of pest reduction technology. Mayor Won Gang-su said, "I hope Master Lee Byung-dong will work hard for the development of local agriculture," and "I will support the master so that he can actively engage in activities with pride and self-esteem."
