The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has released new projections for the global meat market, predicting a record 12.3 million tons in beef exports in 2024. This is despite a decrease in beef production in Argentina and the United States. The total beef production is expected to rise to 60.4 million tons, with significant increases in Brazil and Australia. However, the global meat trade is being dampened by falling imports from China, although the USDA anticipates that this will not significantly impact the overall total. Southeast Asia and the Middle East are expected to see strong demand in 2024.
