The Mediterranean region dominates citrus exports, while Europe consumes the most. China ranks fifth in exports but first in orange production and imports, especially from the Mediterranean. Orange imports in most markets saw a slight decrease, but increases in other regions. Lemon and grapefruit exports are mainly from Mediterranean countries, with increased imports in Asia, especially China. Lime production and exports are highly localized in North and South America, with Mexico and Brazil as the main producers.
