(Yeongam=Yonhap News) The Nonghyup Jeonnam Head Office and the Seoyeongam Nonghyup held a shipment ceremony for the export of "Haegi Meoman Bap" rice to Los Angeles, USA, in Yeongam on the 15th.
Since the start of exports to the United States in 2023, this marks the 10th shipment, totaling 133 tons.
This shipment volume is approximately 20 tons and is scheduled to be sold through the local distribution network in LA.
Seoyeongam Nonghyup plans to strengthen its position in the North American market and diversify its export destinations in the future.
Chairman Kim Won-sik said, "Eco-friendly rice is unparalleled in terms of taste and quality compared to any other rice in the world," and "We will position Haegi Meoman Bap as a leading representative of 'K-Food' through this export."
