Shine Muscat grapes from Yeongdong County, Chungbuk, have been exported to the United States. This marks the first time Shine Muscat grapes have been exported to the U.S. The shipment amounts to approximately 5 tons (4.8 kg, 960 boxes) and was produced by the Hwanggan Grape Export Farmers Association. The county held an export shipment ceremony on the 7th, attended by the producing farmers. Yeongdong grapes have been exported to the U.S. for 19 years due to their taste and quality, but until now, only Campbell Early grapes were exported. This time, the expanding cultivation area of Shine Muscat grapes is targeting U.S. consumers.
