The crop was planted over 119,594 hectares, with 51% grown in agricultural institutions such as the Agricultural Marketing Authority and the Agricultural and Rural Development Authority. Other financial institutions, millers, self-financed farmers, and contractors contributed to the remaining 32,286 hectares. The Grain Marketing Board has received 75 tons of wheat so far. Zimbabwe's annual wheat requirement is 360,000 tons. The country also plans to increase its overall production to 3.3 million tons in the 2024/25 season, including 819,500 tons of pulses.
