In W35 in the palm oil landscape, Indonesia is looking to utilize Croatia as an entry point for its crude palm oil (CPO) exports to the European Union (EU) due to Croatia's modern seaports, which can serve as a gateway for CPO products into Central and Eastern Europe. Despite Croatia's relatively small size, its three modern ports make it a strategic partner in the Balkan Region. In addition, Indonesia’s Sawit Subur Village Unit Cooperative (KUD) has signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) and the banking sector to support the People's Palm Oil Rejuvenation (PSR) Program, which aims to help smallholder farmers renew their oil palm plantations into sustainable and high-quality ones. This collaboration is expected to ensure the proper and transparent use of funds for creating sustainable plantations.
