The Price of the Last Watermelons in Moldova Is Declining but Is Still Close to a Five-Year High (Oct 25)

The watermelon sales season is coming to an end in Moldova. Most likely, on the domestic market, its supply will remain until the end of W43 or, at most, until the middle of W44, when the temperature is expected to drop. The current season in the segment of melons and gourds will be one of the longest in the last five years, along with the 2020 season (also a year of severe drought).

EF Trade Alerts: Growth in Exports of Figs and Melons, Results of July 2022 in Uzbekistan (Oct 27)

July 2022 brought mixed results for fruit and vegetable exporters from Uzbekistan. On one hand, they managed to significantly increase the export of melons, and export volumes of figs reached a record high. On the other hand, deliveries of watermelons, tomatoes, and onions decreased compared to the same month last year. As for imports, their dynamics were more stable, and from the significant changes in July 2022, one can only note a decrease in apple imports.
