Nations exporting the largest volume of almonds in the world are United States, Spain, Australia, Hong Kong, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Turkey, Chile, and Belgium. From a continental perspective, the order from greatest to least value of export is the following: North America, Europe, Oceania, Asia, Latin America, and Africa. In 2019, the total export of shelled and in-shelled almonds amounted to USD 7.2 billion.

In 2019, the total exports of shelled and in-shelled almonds was USD 7.2 billion. There was a 4.7% decrease in export value since 2015, when the exported value of almonds was USD 7.6 billion. North American countries sold 65.5% (USD 4.7 billion), followed by European countries (20.1%), Oceania (7.5%), Asia (5.7%), Latin America (1.1%), and Africa (0.1%).


For research purposes, the 6-digit HS Code is 080211 for fresh or dried almonds in shell, and 080212 for unshelled almonds. The top 15 almond exporting countries in 2019 are:
